i think the hood would look pretty cool if you leave the bulge in the middle.
not sure what kit it came from originally but that hood was in some Dodge without the holes for the monster truck exhausts. i found one in a friends parts box and he wasn't sure where he had gotten it from but i grabbed it for a future Dodge project of my own.
awesome job on the frame and shocks!

Thanks Dave. I have a few different hoods I'm contemplating. That one minus the bulge (it's already gone), and altered 1/24th scale Ramcharger hood, or the LRW hood.

Hey fellas. Here's a major issue I've been having with this Dodge. Be honest.....you all can see the difference in paint shade, right? 3 re-paints (& strips, mind you) and I cannot figure out what's wrong. Same can of paint, same primer, same prep, and still the cab & bed do not match. This has been a set-back (besides other things). The cab & bed are in the strip tank once again. Gotta find a new color. Can't deal with the white mismatch anymore.

Sorry to hear you're STILL having paint problems Larry Is the inside of the cab/fenders painted black? Maybe that's why it looks darker up front? Everything looks so nice & smooth, what a shame...

Hey Jeff. The inside was painted white also. I can't figure it out. But no matter, it's stripped and I gotta decide on a different color.

Thanks Willie. First, I cut out the head/parkin' lights and thinned and cut out the grill openings. Believe it or not, the chrome headlight bezels are the backside of some hubcaps (?) I found. Glued clear lenses on top. I used rectangular off-road lights for the chrome parkin' light bezels and cut some clear lenses to fit. I sprayed the grill with Krylon Dull Aluminum (one of my favs). I use water-based flat black and really thin it out so it flows into all the nooks & crannies that are suppose to be black. I gotta ask.....should the parkin' lenses be clear or yellow/orange?

I've allways used turn signal amber from Testors i think for that era truck it would be more of an orange the grill looks great though Willie

Hey Wade. Thanks for the comps. That is an awesome truck. Great project if you decide to tackle it. Willie, I checked lots of websites and saw many grill parkin' lights in clear with an orange bulb. But then, on the way to the docs Friday, there in a bank parkin' lot, was a Dodge pick-up that need some TLC, with the orange lenses. So, that's where Im at now. Thanks bud.
