Lately I have been playing around with creating decals for my own personal use. While I was working on this latest creation I was thinking that maybe there would be a market for something like this. Over the last year or so I have noticed a lot of 4 wheel drive vehicles going around with camo graphics added to the rocker panel areas of their vehicles as well as window rain gutters, bug guards and side view mirrors. I am currently working on a project that needed this look so I created this sheet. Along with the different 4x4 markings included are their enough people out there building 4x4 models that would be interested in a decal sheet like this? I would just like to know people's opinions. Of course the clarity of the decal would be much better than what you see here.

Hey Wayne. Nice work. I for one am not into the camofluage stuff, but I like the selection of 4x4 decals. I'll bet there are guys here interested in the camo.

I am also working on a sheet of just 4x4 logos in a variety of sizes. I have more styles than what is shown here. I will update with a picture as soon as I get the sheet done.

Yes, nice work on those Wayne...I myself am not big into decals on cars or trucks, but I think they would appeal to ALOT of builders! Also logos like WARN, ARB, Skyjacker, BFGoodrich, etc. would be nice for kit "glass"

How much for one of the above sets? ;D $7 per sheet. But, maybe I need to be a bit more detailed about what I can create here so that all are clear about what they would be getting. I don't have any kind of professional printing setup at this point. These decals would be simply printed through an inkjet printer onto either clear decal film (which means the builder has to use them on a light colored background or create your own white background) or onto white decal film (which will allow you to apply them to any color but you will have to do some detailed trimming to avoid any white edges on your decal). Somewhere down the road I have plans of investing in a laser printer so that I can create decals that are templated with white underlays to avoid any of the above issues. If you are still interested then please let me know.

Let me know when you get all the bugs worked out and are ready to produce them. Thanks! ;D

It will be some time before I'm printing on a laser printer. If you want either now let me know. If you want to wait that's fine too. I appreciate the interest.

Are they sturdy enough to work with? The reason I ask, I got some off of Ebay that a guy made and man did you have to work fast! 5 seconds and no more in water or the color and print would fade and/or rub off. Tore very easy. Which ever will apply to any color; I don't want a white background that is going to show up after applying. A little trimmimg I can do. I am interested.

Sounds like the ones you mentioned getting off Ebay were never coated with any clear. Home made decals have to have some sort of clear coat before use. Either a decal bonder, like what Testors makes, or simply a clear lacquer sprayed in light coats. I print mine on quality decal film so they are plenty sturdy. I have used some decals before that were very thin and a chore to deal with. PM me if interested. Later today I will have some images of others that I am working on.

Hey Wayne. At the truck event (in Carlisle PA) I just go back from there were many trucks with Rebel flags... in the rear windows, decals of the flag, 4x4 ones with flag in background. You might consider adding some. Just a thought. John

Here are some more decal sheets that I have put together. This one is the first sheet of back window images. I have plenty more than this but only so many will fit on each sheet. They will be transferred to clear decal film so that when you apply them to your window there will still be a bit of transparency to them. These have been sized for a full size truck window but I can alter the size to fit almost any application such as compact truck or suv. They are done up in such a way that you will have to do some slight trimming to fit your particular window but with enough overlap that you won't come up short of top to bottom or side to side. This sheet is simply a series of 4x4 logos in two different sizes.
