i tried using regular testors glue on some of this stuff and it takes FOREVER to dry so what do you use to glue this stuff together and to plastic? I have yet to glue any of it yet, but I would think 5 minute epoxy would be best, or possibly a polyurethane adhesive. Styrene cement won't do it as the foam board isn't styrene, CA glues wouldn't be a good choice either unless all of the porosity is filled with something, leaving a smooth finish.

Thank you Jeff! I signed-up for my samples today, and I can't wait I am going to make some original USA-1 fender flares, and then I am going to try and make some of those modular bumpers that are on the market. Thanks for sharing ;D

I, too have some of this coming. But, there is a product that does this same thing but might be a little bit better. But sorry no free samples. Just look up Balsa-Foam. It works the same as this HDU, but it is not all pores. It's waterproof and easy to paint. It is what the Special Effects model guys in film use. www.dickblick.com/products/balsa-foam/#description

Thanks for sharing ;D No problem Rod...I hope you like the stuff! Matt, I temporarily got rid of the sensored word in the link so that this could be of use to members! Looks like good stuff! Thanks for the link, I'm gonna look at the craft stores for this, might be available locally too. I've tried to type "Dick Cepek" before also & wouldn't work, now it does ;D

Ooppps! Sorry about that. LOL! I just got my samples of the HDU It was not what I was expecting. I got allot more then I thought I would, too. I am looking forward to trying this stuff out. My LHS is getting that other stuff I was talking about, in a few days. I will check that stuff out and see what would work better. It is just about the same stuff. Or should I say. gets the same job done with the same work. I would say, HEY!! This HDU was FREE! Everything should cost that much! LOL! I got allot of ideas for this stuff. Thanks a TON for posting about this. Now it is "TIME TO PLAY"! Matt
