Guys another wheel that will make an awesome set of MT Classic IIs is the wheels from the CJ-7 kits. Those wagon wheels can be drilled out to make a nice set. In fact the MT wheels I was casting where made this way (ooops, did I let out one of my secrets) LOL

I am tryin to scratchbuild my own rims since obviously the so real rims are all the same. LOL. Either way, I hope yall enjoy. These are just roughs right now, the finished product will not have any gaps.

Vance, I like the wheel you're working on, is it from a Ford lightning pickup? Wheels for the SoReal line of tires are on the way from Ma's resin! I mastered around 20 different wheel centers to fit the SoReal beadlock "hoops", so these will be "modular" and hopefully available soon! ;D Just a small sample of the different options...

Hey Vance. Nice job on the wheel. Like you and others here, I try to scratch wheels. We really are limited as to we (4x4 builders) have in terms of cool wheels & tires. Jeff's wheel designs look slick---HOPEFULLY SOON. Plus, I widened a SoReal Irok and Bogger which are at the caster. HOPEFULLY they will be out SOON...as well as 2 1/2 ton Rockwell axles I scratched (and direct-fit wheels)...HOPEFULLY SOON.

Haha, Jeff, you're absolutely right. Ford ligtining kit they are! I took two sets of fronts, and cut one 5 star out utilizing just the lip. Then I took the rear hub, and twisted figuring it would give it a little beefier look. I know they are only 5 lug, but, like Ed said, we dont have ANYTHING out there for us really. We have to scratchbuild, or strip the same old so real kits LOL. I really like the second set you have made Jeff, and Ed, I cant wait to see what you've come up with! I am so happy I found this site. I've been lookin EVERYWHERE for an off-road site for modelers.....

Such a bummer , it's hard enough to get parts for 4x4 builds , then to have masters stolen . What's even the point if you don't even produce the parts .

OK VERY nice, BUT question, where did the "rings" for the rims come from? I know the centers on some of them (as said, from a NASCAR kit) but the rest of the parts come from what kit?

If you're asking about the wheels Jeff posted above, the rim section of the wheel is part of the So Real Concepts wheels which are/were included with the bogger tires also shown.

Dirtmodelder offers/offered a few different photoetched beadlock rings, and I've used some of their chassis tabs and have always been impressed with the quality.
From what I recall, the SoReal rings were a little bit generic, too, but the tires were very nice.
