Ok guys, new year new build. I am taking Monograms Ford F-250 and turning it into a chase truck. Converting it to 4wd and raising it up to fit 37" tires. And will be building either a Baja Bug or a single seat buggy to go with it. Will post some pics later on tonight as i get going on it. Going to have a bed cage for spare tires and spare equipment and what ever else i can find that is supposed to go on them.

Yes kolb thats the kind of bug i want to build. But i think for right now I am going to consentrate on the chase truck if not I will get nothing done. This is the truck that I'm starting out with. And i found these tires in my parts box. I borrowed the pics from Coopdad Now I'm working on drilling out the center of two of them for the locking hubs and I have to make beadlocks. Hopefully get those done to night so i can post some pics Again thanks for looking and I welcome all comments.

Kolbenschmidt has a sweet Baja. And since the link from the build thread on AZ Bajas links to the same Photobucket account with the Ko..t name on it, I know that he's the same "crestfallen" guy I've been talking to on there. (I'm mojaveracer208 on there) It's his Baja. Very nice. I can provide photos of race Bajas also. My son races in the current MORE Champion 5-1600 Baja (Google "Baja Bug" and it will be the 2nd or 3rd image) and works in a shop building 5-Open race cars. My son and I work as Tech Inspectors at desert and short course races too and I have an offroad fab and prep business called PREPCo. So give me a shout if you need advice on building either the truck or the race buggy/baja. My Baja (street registered offroad) My Chase truck Are you planning a Chase rack in your Ford?

Sorry for such a long time since my last post. tooltas the tires and wheels came from the Liftz Kit from WalMart a couple years ago. I kept the tires and gave the trucks to my son. I believe that they where either 1/27 or 1/32 scale. I might be wrong on the scale. Coopdad wrote up a nice little review on them on his Offroad Modle Tire Sizes Database. They reminded me of the Toyo Open Country tires.
Right now I'm working on making locking front hubs for the front and beadlocks for all 5 of them. The plan is to have them finished this weekend.
Dustymojava, yes I am planning a rack system for the bed. It will either be a half system kinda like your pic you posted or a full bed model. Haven't decided yet. I'm still looking for a Dana 60 for the front and some "expanded steel mesh" for the rack system.
If I can finish something tonight i will post some pics. If not it will be around Monday or Tuesday. I have my Baja Bug body and I'm waiting on the buggy from Scale Equipment Ltd. I ordered it back in mid Feburary, but haven't recieved it yet. I will give them a call on Monday to find out about my order. I will post some pics of it when I get it.
I welcome any comments and suggestions
