One just appeared at my local Michael's store along with many of the other "Dream Rides" kits, as well as the MPC WWII Jeep and newer Revell Jeep Rubicon kits, which are the first two 4WD kits they've ever carried. I know Accu-Pro offered the extended cab conversion, but did anyone ever offer the suspension parts for a 4WD conversion based on the Revell Ram VTS kit? I know it'd be a lot of work, but maybe someone did it as a labor of love.

Here's what's inside an original issue(?), with the one-piece Revell cab and bed: The Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires which are nice, but always seemed out of place on a Viper V-10 powered show truck like this: I've always wondered if there were plans to release a closer-to-stock kit at some point, maybe even a 4WD version?

That one must be an original- all the reissues I've seen were molded in white. I believe the tire sidewalls were blank as well. I don't know of anybody who did a 4x conversion, but since Dodge was still using a straight axle on the T300 trucks it wouldn't be a tough DIY conversion.

-I'd LOVE to see some of the NEW Dodge trucks made.....specially in 4x4 versions, as the 2x4 VTS well has been "Well Lived"..... Altho, a STOCK "normal" version of that same 1500 Ram be NICE too!

It's too bad the AMT versions were of the Snapfast variety, with molded in everything underneath. The 4x4 version would've made for some great kit bashing possibilities when combined with the Revell Ram VTS. I looked into converting the VTS to a 4x4, and while not impossible, the trailing arm front suspension was more than I wanted to tackle, and I found no accurate kit-based axle assemblies/housings to start with, either.

Yeah I have the Ram 3500 "Snap Fast" model as well, NICELY done for a Curbside kit, BUT there seems to be something more to that model.... you know?
I myself? Would LOVE to see that same kit, made, with a 5.9L Cummins in it, and 4x4 as well as 2x4.... And then if at all possible a 2500 with the ability to have a say 5.2L or 5.9L Magnum as well as the 5.9L Cummins!
I been pondering taking the Ram VTS, and going all outs on it to make it a "T-Rex"....... with a 5.9L Cummins as that concept truck had the truck V-10 in it.... -Someone should make that truck in 1/25th scale it was after all a "Concept Truck" for Dodge in '97, and I think something like 6 of them were actually made!

Accu-Pro did a 4X4 conversion for that kit, taken over by Perrysresin.
