Hey John. I have one of Willie's Atlas TC's that Jake had cast. I'm gonna see if I can scratch one also.

Hey all. I was lookin' at Willie's Atlas TC today, and I believe it is just the way it should be. he did an excellent job on it. Just need it cast.

is there a transfer case available that puts both the front and rear driveshafts out the same section? all of them so far in pics i'm looking at have the rear driveshaft going out off the end of the transmission and the front driveshaft going out off the extension, make sense? with these Unimog axles both are offset to the same side so i'm looking for a transfer case that has both driveshafts to one side. i'm going to scratchbuild my own at this point but would it be impossible to say order the Atlas case set up like i need it to be?

Dave your thinking of the SCS gearbox that most monster trucks use i think the tractor puller guys use them too they are in just about all the modern monster truck kits Willie

here's what i made up last night using the pictures provided above. there is still alot to do and i'm not sure it's accurate at all. i'll make the driveshafts both exit from the side where i need them to. i think i've got 14 pieces in this already and alot more to go. Dave

Wow Dave, that looks easy... and Michael Jordon makes dunking look easy. Great job! Be sure to make a mold of it before you glue it under your F. John

John, it actually wasn't all that hard to do. i have no idea if it's dimensionally the right size, i just went for the right look. it could be completely off! the kids took a long nap this morning so i jumped back on this thing and got it pretty well finished. you gotta love rainy days sometimes! you guys mentioned that Willie had already mastered an Atlas transfer case that Jake used to cast? his is probably alot better than mine! This case is a truly awesome piece of off road art! I really like this kind of work.

alright, i got a little more work done on this truck this evening. the engine sat at an angle with the front tipped up and that wasn't going to work. i cut the stock engine mounts off the frame and made some new ones. now the engine sits pretty much level and much better. i realized that the oil pan and front axle were pretty close together, too close to be realistic. for the most part if this were to be a 1:1 the sump would get crushed on the first good suspension compression. so i cut the stock sump off, closed the hole and made an offset sump. now everything has room to move and not bang into each other. the other thing i did was cut the grille to fit with the winch so now that part is pretty well wrapped up too.
