This is a '53 Jeep panel done as a Civil Defense Jeep. During the early Cold War, the US government contracted with Willys, International, and others to build Civil Defense vehicles to provide to local governments. They came fully equipped except for consumables, and were to be used in disaster scenarios. The model is a Spec Cast diecast Jeep that used to be a Pepsi Cola promotional item. I stripped it, repainted it, and added lots of little doodads to match a photo I found in a Jeep history book. Decals are modified from Fred Cady's Chicago Fire Department sheet. I cut them apart and re-arranged the pieces. Terr
