Know that the tires from the Revell Wrangler Rubicon fit the Pathfinder wheels. ... also know that even with a 4 scale inch lift, you'll need to cut the fender openings for them to clear. I know this because I had to do it with the one I'm working on.

I know this because I had to do it with the one I'm working on. I'm going to avoid lifting this kit. The rear wouldn't be a problem. But, the front would be a bear unless I switched over to a solid axle setup. I'm going to keep this one simple since I'm trying to work it in with other projects. I may try to find a wider set of tires for it. That would help the looks a lot.

My Pathfinder will end up with a solid front axle- eventually. Should have something worth reporting on the Grand within the next few days.

I'm getting frustrated trying to find an appropriate solid front axle for my build . Randy, I have a few Dana 44 center sections from Steve @ Calnaga castings if you want to try that? Let me know & I'll send you one... I am not frustrated any more because Jeff is awesome !Thanks Jeff .

Roger was asking in chat about the Grand kit, so here are a couple of pics- I used the tires from the SATCO Pathfinder, Tamiya provides some Goodyears that would look more appropriate on a mid-size car than a GC. Chassis detail on the floor is pretty good, but the axles are all molded as one piece, along with the trailing arms and drive shafts. You can also see the exposed screws for the working suspension. Plan is to do away with some of this on mine. By the way, this isn't the GC I'll actually be using- this one will be built closer to stock. The one I"m building for this will be a bit more hard-core. Pics to follow soon, I hope...

Thanx for the photos Chuck! That chassis would work for an XJ. I look forward to your hard core version.

Mapping out the Grand.... The stock kit coils are on the left- the tall gold ones are, like those masked WWE rasslers, from "parts unknown". I'll be using those instead of the stockers, of course! Tires are the Mickey Thompsons from the Revell Wrangler Rubicon. Wheels are Monogram Ford F-250, with the chrome stripped. This resin Warn winch and hook (from the same Lala Land where I located the springs) may or may not end up on the Jeep- guess I'll just start doing mockups and see where this all takes me.
