I need to check my original issue Mount N Goat out. I may just luck out and find one in it.

I have found the full top was only offered in two versions of the Jeepster/Commando model kits. The first being the "Commando" kit from around 1970, with the Shell service truck (half-cab Jeepster with plow) on the cover. The second version is the "72 Jeepster Commando", as seen below: The original kits were released with the convertable soft tops, After the 'Police' Commando, the kit was modified into the "Hombre" with the lifted susspension and since then the half-cab has been the only hardtop/roof available.

Thanks for the info Richard! Good to see you back! I did find out from my friend that the kit he's sending me has the full SOFT top, so we've got to find a full HARDTOP to borrow so it can be cast...

Who would like to borrow one, and for how long? If it'll be less than three years...I think I wont miss it, since they won't be seeing daylight anytime soon.
Would you prefer an unbuilt or built-up version?

I would like to borrow it just for a week or less to get the measurements so that I could scratchbuild one. The Stevens kit has the glass and rear hatch. I would really appreciate it. Built or unbuilt would work for me.

Roger, why put all of that work into scratching one when we can borrow Richard's top, have Alan @ Ma's cast it, then it'll be available to the masses...would be a pain getting all of the strengthening ribs right on the top anyway I think...
Richard, is the top multi-piece like the halfcab, or molded in one piece?

Here are the two tops II have. The full hardtop includes four structural pieces, three 'glass' and a chrome door handle (which may still be on the current chrome sprue). Top/outsides underside/inner sides I'm not sure which would be easier to cast as the walls are fairly thin.

Thanx for those photos Richard! Would you mind giving me the measurements in mm's of the total of the top and the top and bottom of the sides? I would really appreciate it.

Yes, thank you Richard for taking the time to take pics & post, much appreciated!
I forwarded Alan the thread link, to see which top he thought would be easier to reproduce. Once I hear back, I'll contact you to "borrow" a top so he can do it. It will then be sent back to you unharmed, along with some goodies for your trouble ;D
