Hey gang, names Josh, and I'm fairly new to the site.. been building models off and on since I was a kid, and over the last 5 or 6 years I've been getting back into it, but trying to add the little details that make them look so real. I've been on the ScaleAutoMag forums for a few years now, but my cousin and I are starting to get into the 4x4 & scratch built stuff... He got a 1984 GMC truck he's going to start working on, and I found a '56 Ford pickup I built years ago thats been busted up from years of moving.. got some rock crawler ideas I'm gonna try.. Any way, hello, and you guys are friggin awesome! Hopefully my best is as good as your worst! LOL!

Welcome Josh feel free to post here and to ask questions. I'm new here as well I have known a few off the people here for a few years and they are all top blokes. Everyone is more than happy to help out and I think that joining a forum that everyone builds the same thing is far better than being the only one that builds a type or style of model on a huge forum

Hey Josh, welcome to ORM...absolutely the best 4x4/off-road site (like Jeff so aptly put it) on planet Earth. Glad you're here.

Thanks for all the welcomes!
So today I went to Wal-mart and got some Purple Power.. after doing a practise run on an old Mustang model I sprayed about 18 years ago with Testors green (paint came off like a champ I might add, looks like the Rustang will be a fun project down the road!) I started taking apart the '56 and dunked the main portions in the Purple Power.. letting them really set up over night.. tomorrow gonna do the chassis and some more components.. I'll start a post in the W.I.P.s section and post some pics of before, during, and here in a few months, hopefully some after pics too! Again thanks!

Welcome to ORM Josh! Glad to have ya aboard. Looking forward to pics of your 56, it sounds like a cool project. I see you're from Rifle. I've been through there a couple of times on my way out to Moab. That's some very nice country you live in!

Thanks Bogger.. Yeah, Rifle is one of the most beautiful places I've ever lived and seen, and I've seen quite a few! If your ever east, in Sheboygan, look around.. prolly run into some of my cousins!
