Hello i dont know what i did in a previous life but it must have been very good for this to fall in my hands. I got one of Jeffs CJ8's and i must say "Jeff AWESOME!!!!!" work. Jeff and i talked for about an hour or so about this project a few weeks back hes a pretty cool guy i must admit enjoyed very much our talk. But here we go i was unsure about which way to go with this i was going to go with an all out hard core trail rig but i've changed my mind i didnt want to cut up or just not use most of this. So im now going to do a build that is somewhere between mild and wild custom but make it a usable rig too. I wll be going with the Super Swamper tires from a couple of the Toyota kits ans will be making a matching trailer using two scrap bodies i had laying around. I'm unsure of which way to go with the suspension it will be using leaf springs but im undecided about under or over axle im leaning to the under axle setup. Here is a couple of rough mock-up pics to give an idea of the ride height and such any advise and all comments are welcome Thanks, Willie

Hey, that looks familiar! ;D Hope you can work your magic on this first-run transkit! I'm not happy with the casting quality of these first 6 kits, that's why I'm revamping the master to be more "castable" I'll update my thread soon... Enough hijacking, can't wait to see more my friend! Is the hardtop warped, or is it just the way it's setting in the mockup? Maybe if you make good progress, it'll give me motivation to get mine built, this whole project has really taken the wind out of my sails

That top was perfect when I sent it to you...heat really affects that Smooth-on resin. If the hot water trick doesn't straighten it, let me know, I have an extra one...but I'll send it in COOL weather ;D Sweet! Your build is going to be NICE! How can I get a scrambler body? Eric, these will be available someday...I'll keep my thread updated.

I threw up in my mouth a little after seeing wires on the Scrambler! A nice hot water bath will get the front-to-rear warp out of the body Willie...once you do your cage the way we talked about, it should stay straight too. Hopefully the new two-piece body won't be bowed like the first six

The body was i good shape i think the pic is just making it look funny i had to do that with the wires on it i thought yall could use a good laugh the body will get primed tomm so i then i can see what if any other body work might need to be done but all parts are now straight and ready to go after i finish the green Jeep and a Bronco i started this one will take priority along with the Kaieser I have plenty of time between now and Jan. third thats when i return to work Take Care all, Willie
