Hey gang, my cousin spent a few years helping one of his buddys build a friggin awesome mud racer. The owner, George, has won all kinds of trophies and races here in Colorado and the surrounding states. My cousin mostly did all the painting on the rig. Here is the website: www.mdi365.com/mdi4/Now he's wanting to build a mock replica, as close as he can. He asked me to post some pics of the build, since he doesn't have internet... so here goes! Here is the real rig: and here is the kit that will become the Mud Stud: Initially he was going to chop it and Rat Rod it, but after the usual sit-&-stare of the body, he decided to go this route. Here is a few of the body shortened, still lots of body work to do, but he's getting quite a bit done: And here is a quick mock up.. he has some better pics, and more progress already, but they are on his camera, and I don't have copies of them to post yet. I'll post more pics as he progresses and gets the pics to me. Cheers!

Cool project Josh!
I think a Revell 1941 Chevy cab or 1937 Ford cab would be a close match to the '36 Chevy, as others have said, would save alot of time & aggravation...

thanks for all the comments guys... its my cousins deal, so I'm just following along too.. he actually has the cab cut and the back section getting molded into the front, and it looks pretty good. He's doing a real good job with the putty up to this point and the seams are really going together nicely. I'll try to get a few more pics from him soon, but he hasn't been around the last few days due to his work.. again thanks, and i'll keep you all posted! Cheers
PS. For all the football fans out there: Go Pack!

Looks like your cousin is off to a great start. Cool project, and the real one looks like a lot of fun. Oh yeah, and how about 'dem Packer's! Hope they've got one more game left in 'em!
