is it bad i am already thinking of my next kit?
I am going to get some markers on monday or tuesday after exams and then do up my lights. Do some grill paintin' and then Paint the body. (Any ideas? I am thinking Blue, like on the box) then I should be all set for final assembly and completion
Next kit: Datsun 720 King Cab or Isuzu Trooper with custom lift. ;D
Big Ed, I knew there had to be guys that liked 4x4 models, and i found my home!

Hey 95. I know what you mean about the 4x4 community. It's small compared to the car building community. I was into Pro-Streeters at one time, but I love the 4x4 thing. I haven't built any yet, but I also have a thing for the old altered wheelbase drag cars of the 60's. Love 'em. Maybe I can find some kits somewhere and see what I can do with 'em.
P.S. This is kinda my 2nd home too.

very cool.
I used to build cars as well. Built a 65 Hertz Mustang and then a DeLorean. Then I built a 4x4 Ford truck, and just stuck with building sweet 4 wheel drives.
2nd home indeed. 1st home on the web would have to be my Isuzu forum.
Im ready to finish building this puppy! I got some ideas and i want to put them to work! ;D

Hey 95. I use to belong to an Isuzu forum. Had an '89 Trooper for years. Can't remember the name of the forum though. I'll bet my pic is still there.

I am over on PlanetIsuzoo (my avatar) I love the first gen troopers, they are so utilitarian. My 94 Rodeo does the job for me. I love the truck, goes anywhere.

It was only the first coat but it looked like I applied bed liner to it (just looks, not texture). With that said I guess the cat is out of the bag, I am painting it gloss black, I have a 1:1 that is giving me inspiration (i wish i could buy it as well! ) Hopefully the later coats will apply ok. If not I will sand it all off, a laborious process but it will allow me to repaint it with good paint.

Hey 95. There's stuff out there to remove the paint chemically rather then sanding off.....labor-intensive, for sure. I still use Easy-Off oven cleaner (the Original, not the New & Improved"). Help me here guys...there are other chems that do the trick, I just can't think of 'em.
