Trying to get my modeling mojo back, I went to Bonnie Brae Hobbies in Englewood, CO today. I remember it was a special treat going to this place when I was a kid. Now 3/4 of the space is devoted to gaming, but they do have a few kits. The only civilian Jeep I could find was this snap together, 1:32 CJ7 by Playkit. It's labeled U.S.A Jeep, and a CJ7 is in the box, but the box art clearly shows one of the S.C.O.R.E. Sherman Balch Scouts. Interestingly, "Sherman Balch Scout" is also printed on the peel-&-stick decals. As I said, weird. The back of the box shows other kits so that you can "collect them all." There's a Land Rover, but no Scout. Apparently, "U.S.A. Jeep" is any American-made Jeep-like vehicle. Has anyone ever built a S.C.O.R.E. Scout? That sounds like an interesting build, and the tires look like Desert Dogs but in the 31-33" range. It looks as though they were all based on the SSII for obvious reasons. One other weird thing, the kit is molded in 3 colors: Silver, Black, and Red. The tires are molded on the red sprue--weird. Attachments:

That is weird Rod I've never even heard of that brand, did an eBay search, there were a few on there, no 1/32 offroaders though. Show us how it builds up! I try to stay with 1/24 & 1/25 scale exclusively, but I did just buy the Burago 1/32 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited ;D
