This is a '80 Ford Econoline Quadravan conversion. It started as an AMT Hyper Hut. I converted it to 4x4 with my resin cast differentials, axle ends, radius rods, and NP205 transfer case. The suspension works, including semi-functional u-joints. All four doors and the hood open. The sliding door works. It has an opening roof vent, removeable engine cover and working dome lights. It won the Dave Shuklis Engineering award at GSL XXIII this year along with 2nd place, Street Machine (?) and Best Interior. The van is actually intended to be a tow vehicle for a ski boat, see the October 2010 issue of Model Cars Magazine Attachments:

Crazy sick detail on that build. Do the door strikers work? Well, it looks like they do, and that's all that counts. I really like how it's period-correct throughout, and it comes together as a nice whole. Wow!
