A few questions. 1) What is the best way to section/split/cut in half rims so they are true and square?
2) Best way and which tools to cut out small/complex shapes from styrene?
3) Anyone making and selling rockwell axles anymore?
Thanks, Wade

sorry for the delay while none of these may be the best way they should provide a start in the right direction. cutting rims to make them wider or not so wide you could use tape as a guide and gently cut with your zona saw the key is to go SLOWLY. you want to scribe the initial cut and just keep rotating the rim and don't get cocky when it is almost done. after cutting true it up by placing a piece of sand paper on the bench and move the rim in a figure 8 double check by measuring in several different spots. For small shapes I usually use a small pin vise drill bit and perferate around the shape and then use an x-acto to clean it up followed by a file if it'll fit. as for the rockwells no idea.
hope this helps and sorry for taking so long to respond

as I was rereading this I remembered I saw someone made a jig by drilling a hole in a piece of wood which you place the rim in and then cut the rim . I don't modify rims that often so I stick to the tape and working slowly.
