Hello,
I was wondering if I wanted to make a 4x4 from a 2wd truck, is it as simple as copying the rear axle for the front? I guess I will also need what the transfer case and axle arrangement looks like. Where could I find all of this info? Shop manuals would be fine I guess for images?
Thanks in advance for any help. Relying on the conversion experts here!

well usually the dif is offset in the front. try google images for your specific model . sometimes it is relatively easy to scratch build a front suspension if it is a straight axle and leaf springs but if it is an independent front suspension maybe a little harder. do you have any pictures of what you are starting with? it is a litlle difficult to give advice when we can't see specifically what you want to do .

Of course after looking at your work you probably don't need my advice

Thanks for your reply randx0,
I have since found tons of images of exactly what I need on a Ramcharger forum I joined to help me with this project. I actually found them in a Google images search and just went to the proper thread to get tons of images of this guy's truck he had turned into a mudder. He took photos of every step he took to re-work the front end..... Score!!
Once I get the PU kit I purchased in the mail and the military tires I ordered, I can start converting the dimensions to 1:35. This is gonna be a fun build and I nice little kit, I think. I'll share images here, of course.
