Oh wow, the question I have is how well do the hood, grill, windows, and front bumper fit the cab and box? It looks like it could possibly be a good canidate for a flip body (funny car style) pulling truck if the visible components properly align.

Thanks for the in-depth details Roger! It looks as though the production deadline came up too quick & they skimped on things some would never notice... I still want one to modify and lift with some huge IROKS though!

I understand your frustration, but I'd be curious to see it farther along. Does the lack of firewall detail matter if the engine is tucked up tight against it? The tranny dimensions are off, but what does it look like when built up?
I agree for the price it ought to be better.
It will still be a must-have for me... but then I own a Super Duty now and always wanted one in scale.

The few builds I have seen show a problem with the bottom of the grille kicking out at the bottom giving it a laid back look. That's probably due to how thick the piece that goes behind the grille is. I think there's an interference between it and the intercooler. But, that's just a guess.

I still want one to modify and lift with some huge IROKS though! It's definitely a mixed bag for sure. On one hand, you have a separate head liner, grab handles, handle on the tail gate, the bed extenders (that were useless IMO)and all of the other nice details. On the other, there's the mess up front. To me, it has a curbside turned full detail feel to it. It's like they decided at the last minute to add the engine and transmission detail. But, they hadn't engineered the underhood area for it and just winged it.

I saw an underhood photo of a completed model and you could see the interior floor. It reminded me of the old Monogram pickup kits. But, not as bad. What you see is what you get with the transmission. The bell housing looks small from underneath also.
