I don't remember the scale, but my first was an F-4 Phantom. I did a pretty good job on it too for the age of 8. There was very little glue splotches. I painted it a very realistic camo job too. Sadly many years later it had a very bad crash and exploded in a huge fire

For the longest time I modeled airplanes (all military). My whole room was filled with hanging planes. One birthday I got an Aircraft Carrier. The thing was massive. The planes were the size of dimes but the thing had to be at least 2 feet long. That was the age where I started questioning my parents intentions. I realized my dad loved planes so that was the reason why I modeled planes and military. The Carrier was the last I ever made and I started building cars and trucks and getting in airbrushing.
Great job knarf. I wish my first was a vehicle!

This was the first model I built, and I can still remember the smell of the decals (maybe the adhesive?) as I was applying them...weird, but true. The hood decal was not so easy to apply, as I recall.

The first vehicle I ever built was a I tubbed the rear end and made a drag car out of it. I am thinking about recreating it someday.

Not this exact model, but it was the 1:32 Monogram Mustang notch. Bought this one for $1 about five years ago to relive the moment.

-I can remember my first model, BUT I don't have it anymore, I do however have a single pic of it.... Top left-hand corner you'll see that Little Red Wagon A100 by Lindberg! I assembled that model with only a little paint and glue, the body itself, was molded in red and looked pretty good (even for back then!) so I merely glosscoted the red body and applied the decals to the glosscote! Then re-over coated the gloss with more and called it done! (I think I put a weekend into its assembly if I remember correctly, that was over 25 years ago, maybe pushing 30 by now I can't remember how old I was tho!) BUT, I lost this an all the models in that pic due to a house fire.... That was my home place, and the house burned to the ground a couple years ago, before I could get everything of mine out of it!
