That's pretty cool! I spend a lot of time on Expedition Portal. I wouldn't necessarily call some of the campers there 'weird', but there are some interesting designs being implemented.

Weird , interesting, brilliant, ugly , functional whatever you feel doesn't get seen . I really like camper designs and enjoy seeing vintage stuff you don't see anymore.

mdmead, I'm Modeler on Expo. LOL, I never realized that you were the same one as there. Yeah, I read more than I post over there. The amount of posts per day can be overwhelming so I tend to fall behind. I'll keep an eye out for you on there. If you see a mdmead on any forum, it is likely me. It was my original AOL name and I use it everywhere I can still. One of these days I'll add to the LEGO expo rigs over there. I've got one under construction now!

I read more than post on most forums I'm on. I just go through the recent posts. Looking forward to the LEGO rig. I've got the Moab LEGO calendar on the wall at work. I'm hoping to start building a military looking trailer from a Harbor Freight 4x8 in the next month or two to go behind my LJ.

I do get a kick out of the vintage stuff. I took my daughter to what was billed as a vintage RV show last fall, but it was kind of a bust. Turned out to be more of a swap meet and some folks were working out of their older RVs and they weren't real inviting to looking on the inside. We have a local car show annually called Vintiques and there are a few classic and custom RVs there every year. My wife would love to have this one.

I'm hoping to start building a military looking trailer from a Harbor Freight 4x8 in the next month or two to go behind my LJ. I'll be watching for this one! I use one of the cheap 4x8 trailers behind my Suzuki SX4 to haul around my KLR 650. I was thinking about building a new one and enclosing it; basically just tall enough to clear the bike, and making a flip top on it. It could double as a place to sleep, top open for star-filled nights, closed if weather is threatening. The goal would be to keep it as light as possible as the SX4 can't tow much. Not sure if it will get built... I don't have much time for solo trips as I would like as their are other family considerations!
