Everyone, If ya haven't seen it out yet, its on the shelves NOW! I just spotted one at my local Hobby Lobby, Revell is marketing them as 1980 model year trucks, but truly are '79's.... the '80 model year would have the SAME grille, with SINGLE headlights, the '79 has dual headlights per side, top & bottom, just as the kit has!
My only other gripe is that, the engine is to be a Mopar "Chrysler" LA 318, and isn't even even close! The Heads and the Valve Covers would be correct, but the block, and oil pan are all wrong.... However it does come with the correct exhaust manifolds for a truck! Not to much to be said about the intake, its for a 2 barrel, but can be easily swapped out for one to hold a 4 barrel (BUT Ma Mopar, didn't make the 318's thats in this truck with a 4 barrel, only police interceptor 318's got the 4 barrel (And yes, they DID make 318 Interceptors!)

This has always been a good shelf model, but pick it up, turn it over, and its weaknesses become very apparent. Floorboards? No, there are none, just the flat underside of the interior tub. It's all very 1980 Monogram feeling, which is fine if you understand the limitations of that era of Monogram kits. It's a good (well, pretty much the only) starting point for a '72-'80 RC/Trailduster, so I guess beggars shouldn't be choosers in this case.

Yeah, that is a weakness! BUT if the time comes during a build, a floorboard can easily be made from nice sturdy Sheet Styrene too! -Which I WILL be doing in the case of the 2 Ramchargers, I have.....
