John i just use styrene hex rod but those look like the ones Larry had told us about available from www.tichytraingroup.com i was looking at them for some of their rivet heads to repalce some on a big rig model im working on hope this helped ya Willie

Another note. That e-bay listing is selling the product of that company's I just post above. You will get a much better deal buying from Tichy Train Group. You will get allot more for your buck.

whats the best size to use for shackle bolts I am needing some but know excactly what size would look right

Hey Josh. I use 8085 hex boltheads and 8081 for the nut and pin. They're not exact, but close enough. The next size up (8083 & 8084) just seem a little to big, but I keep them on hand for other stuff.
