Hey Dave. Thank you. SoReal has gone back to the softer, less shiny Boggers. The Iroks will follow. I use 000 or 0000 steel wool for the tire sides. I put the steel wool in the palm of my hand and twist the tire back and forth to dull it. I also cut pieces of PVC tubing to widen the tires. This actually pushes the tire sides out, not the tread, but makes 'em look wider. The wheels are a combination of stuff. I started with SoReal's Rock Crushers. I cut off the outer rim and scratched the beadlock rings. I drilled out the center of the wheel and made my own with lugs and locking hubs (front) and I think I got the rear centers from Monster Truck wheels.

I love it. The suspension and mods to the tires/wheels really sell this project. The frame work in incredible and I too like the side windows.

Thanks fellas. And LOL Willie. Dave, I forgot about the tread. I cut 2 circles from a piece of cardboard and sandwich the tire between them. Then I spray a couple light coats of flat black on the tread. When dry, I sand the tire tread.

Hey John. I've been having some fit issues...TC too big. It's kinda close to the susp. link. I should have planned a little better (a major prob. with me). I'm goin' thru my TC stash to see what will fit. Plus, I'm doin' another Rockwell in it's simplest form...each scratchbuilt piece 9no matter how small) not glued to it's corresponding piece for casting. Plus #2, I'm fidgiting (?) with a '64 Chevy PU slammed to the ground.........................NOT!!!! Lifted, of course. Found some cool wheels on a toy in my local Dollar General. I'll post. Thanks for askin' John. And NNL East is Saturday. We plan on goin'.
