This seems to be the number one complaint concerning resin casters and the number one reason that I am so apprehensive about buying resin products. I've only bought one resin kit and it was from a reputable caster. It was delivered in the 6 week window, but the body was unusable. From now on,I'll just do my own conversions and save my money. I hope you finally get your kit Chuck. Like you said though, you could have already had it long finished yourself in the time you've waited.

I did ask him about the status a month after I ordered it- I was told it would be in the mail that weekend. THat weekend came and went with no delivery. A month after THAT, I asked again, was told the same thing, and the kit was still not delivered. I'm getting to the point of just being blunt and saying "Send me the kit, or give me back my money." He's been selling the same kit at shows from what I'm told- it's not like he retired from casting.

the other way to do with a seller like this is. and I already do that and work....
go on EVERY forum he goes to advertise OR talk and ask him the attus of the order with the small story you write here.
NORMALY you will receive your part the same week.

I did e-mail him a few days back, and was told he'd send it out as quickly as possible, after I requested the kit or a refund. I really don't like being that way, but man- six months is just too long to wait!

Yeah- at four months I get antsy, six I'm just plain irritated. Past six? I really dont' want to find out. Then again, I'm spoiled a bit. See- I buy 90% of my resin from Steve Kohler (STAR Models) so I'm used to getting stuff in a week! Steve's not a caster- only a retailer- but anyone who's scared off resin because of the long waits should give him a try. If he has it in stock, he'll send it out the same or next day as he gets your payment.

I gave Jeff a call today (yes, I DID recieve the Scout!) and he said he's been behind for a number of reasons, mainly a new full time job and having to assist some family members after the floods earlier this year.
REST ASSURED- he's NOT going to take your money and run, you WILL get what you ordered! If you have any issues, call him! Keep in mind- he's only one guy!
And by the way, I couldn't be happier with my Scout SSII, and I can personally guarantee you I'll be buying from Time Machine in the future.
