Hey all. I don't remember if I posted this elsewhere, but are Ford 9" axles do-able under 4x4s?

Sure are! They just don't seem to be as popular as the Danas, even though aftermarket support is there... www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/Product.aspx?id=3459These days, I think anything can be done...on spike's Xtreme 4X4, they even built a STEERABLE GM 14 bolt for the front of their aluminum Scrambler! They also used a neat set of fully fabicated "portal looking" axles on a project, can't find a linky though

Very do-able Larry i've tons of them under trucks but i myself wouldn't run a tire no largger than 38" tall one but i've seen some of them running the 44's even up to the 54"er's most of the off-road racers use them and they run around 37 inch tall tires on my Bronco build (the brown one with the top) i used a set of the Trxus tires only cause i've seen 1:1's like that Hope this helped some, Willie

Hey Jeff...Willie...thank you for the replies. I'm in the process of scratching a 9" and I didn't want the work to be in vain. I'll post as soon as it's done.
