I have 5 kids, 4 boys and a girl, but 3 of my kids are currently building models with me. I will have to take some more pictures because they've each done like 5 a piece already, but here are a few of them. These were their bery first builds. Painted and assembled by them. My 10 year olds. He was 8 at the time. My 9 year olds, he was 7. My 7 year olds. He was 5. And a few that they are workin on today. All painted by them. only thing I did was cut out teh patterns for them to lay on the car. My 10 year olds is on the left. My 9 year olds is on the right. My 7 year old only wanted to do two colors like the old style.

Wow! Those builds are pretty advanced for kids those ages. It's great to see kids using their hands, minds, and imaginations to create something instead of just using their thumbs and reflexes to play video games. Now, I don't think video games are all that bad really. It's just that many kids play them to the exclusion of all else. It's much easier to plop your kids in front of a video screen to keep them occupied, but you take the time and effort to actually mentor your kids and teach them useful skills in the process--parenting at its best! Your kids will help keep our hobby alive!

Thank you Willie, Jeff, and Kifaru. My kids are pretty attentive, and listen well. I've tried to keep them away from video games as much as possible. Atleast when they are at my house lol. They are good kids though, adn listen well to instructions. I will be giving my oldest two a glue kit this summer when they come back so they can start learning the hard way.

Hey all. Some cool builds up top Vance. If the building stays with 'em, they'll be givin' us some competition. My only "kid" is 33 now and married. She never built any models, but her & I were into RC truck pulls for a few years...both indoors and out. Some of the best Sundays I ever had. Plus, I wanna Ditto my friends sentiments also.

Thank you Big Ed. It's nice to hear you and your daughter shared a hobby together whether you still do it or not, it's always about the memories to me. My dad didnt have time to help me build cuase he was always working, but I know that wasnt his fault... bills had to be paid, and jobs had to be worked... workin 2 jobs and going to school was a good move for him though cause now, he's sittin pretty, and at the top of the food chain. Retirement is right around the corner. I'd give a few days though just to be able to build with him cause he's the reason I started building models. He used to have models all over the place when I was growin up. I hope to have the same aspect with my kids though. Building models, or sunday swap meets, or 4 wheelin, or whatever... just as long as my kids are around with me doing it.
