I've always admired these! I don't think very many made it to "the colonies." I've never seen one, even at British car shows where there are usually a number of Series LRs. Call me suicidal, but I like forward control 4x4s with big honkin' tires. Was there ever a kit based on these? It doesn't look like it would be impossible to scratch (for me it would be, not for you). I seem to recall a garage kit of the Judge Dredd city cab (the movie prop team reportedly built quite a number of these, all based on the 101), but a quick Google search didn't turn up anything.

You've already posted a Unimog pic. But I also like the Steyr-Puch Pizgauer (Steer, Push, Pinch, Goer) and its halfling, hobbit-sized cousin, the Halflinger (they can fit in a pickup bed). Attachments:

See? The Halfy isn't much bigger than a side-by-side ATV, but much more capable. Attachments:

Other than the Mog, my hands-down favorite is the Volvo C303/306 (4x4/6x6). They have solid axles and leaf springs, yet they have decent articulation (as shown on the RTI ramp). And let's not forget the old Jeep FC-150/170. They are all slow by today's standard and dangerous both on and off the road, and they are all super cool I want one! Attachments:

Wow, those are all very cool rigs you posted Rod! I especially like the Volvo, never knew any of these existed! Thanks for sharing!
