Great looking projects so far guys! I'll be watching. I really wanted to participate in this, but it was a hectic week for me and didn't get the time to round up a project and get some ideas flowing. Busy tomorrow too, and working all next weekend. Guess I'll have to wait till the next one comes around.

Tim, glad to have you aboard . Remember this is supposed to be fun, so don't stress just get done what you can. Work and home are almost always more important than a totally awesome hobby .I look forward to seeing your progress. You guys that can't make this one this time it is cool ,just check in and let us know what you think. some pointers that I can throw out there for time saving building: 1. use lacquer based paint stay away from enamels. 2. use liquid glue and 5 minute epoxy but not super glue (to avoid fogging on chrome and windows) 3.K.I.S.S. 4. stick to your plan and you won't have as much problem solving to overcome. 5. large sub assemblies first once the painting is done and you feel you have time then add details. That is all I can remember that I did wrong on my first weekend build. here are some very similar pictures of my mock up. Have fun ,I gotta get back to it,thanks for lookin'!

here is an update on the J10 I got it repainted and made some some new spring hangers for the rear since the axle and springs i am using are wider that the stock ones. they are from the soreal concepts K10. I am also thinking about putting the roll bar from the 88 chevy silverdo kit in the back

Both are looking awesome, just my 2 cents but i think if it had a longer time line, maybe a month you might of gotten a few more people to do this, i know i would have, although the only thing i have is a 1/20 cherokee, i been wanting to build.

Work kept me busy this weekend. This is what I have so far. Got the body painted, the frame, running gear, tires and wheels completed. Engine is currently drying from 1st coat of paint. The builds are looking good, Tim Attachments:

Thanks for the encouraging words. as for the timeline I know it was short but I didn't want it to die I think if it went a month after it was first brought up we would have lost interest. but now that we will have one done and on the books perhaps it can become a regular attraction. Tim I'm glad that you hung in there even with work it sounds like you are coming down the home stretch! I myself was ambushed by a 3 year old nephew that really slowed things up for me all weekend.ok I gotta go try and finish my JEEP.
