A little marketing research here...since we have a hard enough time convincing the kit manufacturers to reissue our favorite old 4x4s, trucks & SUVs let alone come out with an all-new kit, that leaves resin kits to feed our need ;D
Here are ones I'm considering doing when time allows & current masters wrap up...
All either 1/25 or 1/24 scale...
1. Jeep JK Wrangler...fairly easy...two-door diecasts exist to build 4-door master from.
2. Jeep TJ/LJ Wrangler...again, fairly easy...plastic R/C body & Revell Tomb Raider diecast exist to build master from, stretch for the LJ.
3. Jeep XJ Cherokee 1984-2001...would be challenging as no XJ smaller than 1/20 scale has been produced, would have to be entirely scratched, may be able to use Tamiya Grand Cherokee ZJ for some common things...floorpan???
4. Jeep Forward Control 1956-65...someone did a cab in resin at one time, didn't look quite right, don't think it would be too difficult to build a master from scratch. Obscure subject, but I like 'em (see my avatar ;D)
5. Early Ford Bronco 1966-77...challenging as the old toy Broncos aren't 100% correct, might be better scratching the entire thing?
6. Fifth generation F-series pickup 1967-72...don't think a kit, toy or any version of this truck has ever been done...challenging!
7. Ford Super Duty F-250/350 1999-2007...fairly easy, based on Speccast diecast extended cab. Standard cab, crew cab wouldn't be difficult. Short bed or dually fenders would be easy also. Biggest challenge would be a diesel powerplant!
8. International Scout 80/800 1961-71...challenging, never been done in scale smaller than 1/10 lexan R/C body.
Any others you guys would like to see???
