John, what can I say that I haven't already said? I love your work. I like how everything seems to fall where it should....."pre-planning"! I mean I'm slow as molasses in winter, but that's because I'm always re-doin' things that I didn't pre-plan. In a hurry but always in reverse. You're an inspiration John. Thank you. Thanks guys. But don't think I don't reverse also. All the test-fitting in the world never seems to get it perfect the first time on this model. For instance, last night I made 6 tie rods before arriving at ones that I could live with (or said heck with it because it was late). The difference between this and past projects is that I have mentally convinced myself that it is ok to build two or three parts to end up with one that if good enough. The thing that I cant get past is how much detail should I put into the stuff that won't show? Bolt heads on the steering system underneath? Heck with it... if they are there, I will know it. Thanks again all. John

Willie Willie, yes, it has working suspension BUT won't end the end. I only did that to make sure i have a "fudge factor" to help me adjust. For instance, if the tires end up not being centered in the fenders then I have a couple joints that will (hopefully) allow me enough wiggle room to try to get them where they need to be. Hard to put down in words, hopefully that makes sense.

I figure if anyone sees a flaw with this model, the wing will be where it shows up. I mean, it is right there on top: the chrome will show every wave, dirt spot, blemish, etc. So, after filling the inside with CA and epoxy, and using filler from the top, I gave up. It will never be flat enough... So I bit the bullet and decided to build another wing. This time I decided to use thick parallel ribs rather that horizontal. Also, used super glue rather than weld as it caused so many issues in the first (technically second) wing. The areas between the ribs were a problem in the first wing so I super glued very thick styrene to them to help with the flatness. This one is very flat, and rigid with no twist... much better. Glad I did not settle for the other one. I will post more pix of it with bottom on it. John

Things in my non-model life have been really crazy busy lately. But I do have a small update. Have made a few things but they are just to small to photograph... why don't kits some with coils? Cage if ready to paint... and painted... Picked up a can of Tamiya primer during lunch today. The price has gone up to $9.50! It is great stuff but I don't think that great. John

More progress and photos: Interior is basically done except for a "floormat" under the driver and seatbelts. Body panels are painted white and will get their strange "goldish" color and decals as soon as it they are completely dry. Can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel! John
